I should try that... I have it set to auto shutoff after 30 seconds to save battery but it would be lots easier if I could get record to start with just one press. My biggest problem right now is turning the unit on sometimes goes to video mode, sometimes to burst still mode, then I have to toggle through everything until I find record mode and by then the recordable event is usually over! PITA. But when I get the mode right it makes good video ![]() |

There is a free firmware update available on the GoPro website. It allows for one button recording- Just turn the camera on, and it will start recording in your default mode. Cool feature
