Bugs are different because the do not store fat in the same way as fish. I hoop lots of places I don't keep fish like the MDR breakwall. Ballona creek has got to be one of the dirtiest outfalls around, but the bugs there are just fine.

There was a big study on contaminates in fish and crustaceans a few years back and Lobsters consistently scored better then fish.

Personally I don't like fishing Pedro because I think it's kind of an Ugly place to fish. For me it's just a place I pass through to get to Cat, or go troll Marlin on the slide.

To each their own though, there are definitely fish in there.

Jim, that's just not fair, not everyone can just zip out to the islands, to catch butts from clean water, hook-up on WSB after WSB, nor troll for marlin.

Nor can they travel the world in search of exotic species. They might just be so envious that they take it as a secret rub or something

Yes, aren't we all, it's just that some of us deal with it better than others.

guys that are new(er) to cabrillo make sure to keep your head on a swivel near the shipping lanes... besides all the small boats and jet skis constantly whizzing by, those giant tankers move a lot faster than they look...
