Jim, Do you ever just sit still? Do you ever just put your feet up and do nothin? You are one busy dude, that boat looks like it got some major time into it.

Yeah well.... Not really.

Once after a big fabrication job the client asked me what I'd do for time off, after I got paid.

I just laughed and said now I get to build my stuff....

I'm pretty envious of all yall's boats! I started out with a Caddis float tube and a pair of waders, I actually still have it, and use it when I sneak into ponds and creeks on 'ninja' fishing missions. I even caught my largest double digit bass out of it at Lake Murray with it!

RamX

Scanoe Ram X "Scanobie-do"

It lie waiting for liberation near the San Elijo lagoon for god knows how many years chained to a tree and half buried under years of leaves, until my friend Gregg and I came along with bolt cutters. Someone had actually made outrigger for it by cutting an old Hansen 10’ long board right down the stringer and used some bamboo to secure it.

We took off the outrigger and headed out to the paddys off of the San Elijo camp grounds; it was then we realized why the outriggers were made. That thing was the most unseaworthy vessel ive ever sat in. Flipped and sunk it more times than I care to remeber. But for kids it was a blast, we used to spear fish and dive off of it. One guy would have to lean over the opposite rail while the other was getting in; or she’d flip ya right quick.

I sold it for a song, wished I still had it and that old Hansen (worth 2k easily)! I never gave my buddy his share of the sale either, damn me!

looked like this....even had a little transom

Sport Boats and float tubes for me. Got into the tubes when I was a deckhand and got sick of fishing for cuda and other non-bass fishes. Once I discovered spotties I rarely fished the boats.
