awesome!! more fish and beer for me.

I love it down there.. would move in a heart beat if I could A) convince the wife and B) find work.

Im just shocked that the lack of knowledge produces so much fear.

Very true. I can understand the fear but too often we hear of all the bad and not enough of the good, which in my opinion there is a lot more good that goes on down in Baja than bad.

I haven't heard of any bad in Buena Vista, or Los Barriles. Last october I was in Buena Vista for 7 days and saw 1 policia and 1 federale and they were waving to us.

My last excursion to baja was quite a few years ago and it was a 1 day surf trip with a side trip to Puerto Nuevo for lobster. I had my gal and another couple with me in a Jeep Cherokee. This is midday. I was stopped 3 times that day. Twice going down along the border fence in TJ within 10 minutes of each other. They were federales who said they were looking for weapons. Tore my Jeep apart both times.
Then on the way home around 5 PM, stopped again saying that I ran a stop sign. There was no f'ing stop sign. the fed wanted me to follow him to the station. I almost did but decided to just pay off the f'er. Cost me $50. F Mexico. Have fun catching your fish and drinking your beer! For Me It ain't worth It! Seeee Ya111!!!!!!!!!!!!
