Rodax,

I was out there about 545 AM. Waves were looking large and I opted for calmer water. Hit up Carlsbad lagoon for the first time. Picked up a big spotty but that was it. How was the launch through the surf?

i probably launched at 6:45, the beach was getting full of kayaks. quite a few people going out early. the launch was easy and the waves tapered off so coming back in at noon was even easier. there were quite a few going out for the second shift. hope they have good luck.
