I have the new style hatches on my x-factor, i've never had any issues with them leaking.

I also have an original and equipped with the kayatank (mine is also sans the fish hold) its hands down the most versatile kayak in my small stable. That includes a Hobie revo and tarpon 120. Its great paddling stable and tracks very well even without a rudder. It handled some pretty rough conditions at Catalina and left me feeling quite confident in the kayaks abilities to handle some rough conditions. After looking at some other designs (OK most notably) I think I really like that Malibu have put in more than enough scuppers. Its the best purchase I ever made. Still lovin' it! Thanks for that Andy!

like my X-13. tracks well. max on mine is 450lbs. 2009 model. a lot of storage (fits 2 12V 7.2Ah batteries in 2 waterproof case and a misc. waterproof case in the center storage compartment. great layout for adding baittank, milk crate, lights, and a center console (a johhny bar and two scott rod holders). sits low on the water. front storage...3-4 rods plus my kayak cart. can't fit a 13 years old kid like the stealth 14 but a 10 years old for sure. have fun testing kayaks.
