My HB 597ci di is installed just like roadx, except I used a thicker foam, then stick a chopstick just aboved the transducer (thru the foam) , then use a bungee cord and a small piece of foam to press down the transducer.

Work pretty good for the only one time since I changed to it.

I was using liberator transducer arm before, and had to clear the kelps many times a day in LJ.

So I will need marine goop to put the transducer in and a sturdy piece of foam?

i gooped down the foam but i dont suggest gooping down the transducer. i prefer to use grease between the transducer and haul. goop has a tenancy to form bubbles which is not good for a good sonar signal

here a link that use's the HB install kit

any kind of grease works but if you get i high temp grease it wont run when it gets hot. i have used axel grease and super lube. the grease makes a vacuum to the haul and the transducer wont drop out when the yak is up side down.
