Native had a high profile "lawn chair" style seat years before Jackson introduced the Cuda. Jackson evolved the idea by offering high and low seat mounting positions.

Hobie's PA12 seat is generations beyond either of the simple Jackson or Native designs. It's trick! So much adjustability, and it stows out of the way.

My point is merely that the manufacturers have been building on their competitors' designs since the first sit-on-tops hit the beach. I wonder... what's next?

Jackson's boats have influenced the industry much like Malibu fishing-first deck designs did. I think they're great for rivers and east coast / gulf coast flats. Good thinking - that's where most of the market lives.
