I caught this a couple of weeks ago using a 3 way swivel. I tie the swivel straight to the braid, 30 pound to the hook and 15 pound to the sinker.

It's nothing more than a five-turn surgeon's knot (as mentioned) or a doubled uni-knot. But I suppose if somebody wants to name a knot after himself, he can...

Wasn't throwing stones. It looks like a perfectly good knot, and if it's a modification of something else that the good Mr Rose developed, he CAN name it after himself.
Now for the Rocky knot, do I combine the Trilene knot with a Uni for hook tying -- or back-back unis with the ends tucked between the strands blood knot style for joining lines? Decisions decisions... |
